ABOUT US

Brewtown Recreation has been providing the best and fastest-growing adult sports leagues in southeastern Wisconsin since 2013. Our organization is built on the belief that sports aren’t just about competition, they’re also a platform for personal growth, team camaraderie and epic experiences! Whether you’re new to town, simply trying to stay fit or hoping to relive your glory years from high school, we offer a variety of sports that will get your competitive juices flowing! What sets us apart from other leagues; however, is our desire to support the local community. Many athletes are interested in giving back, but in most cases they’re unaware of the necessary steps. Brewtown Recreation takes the guesswork away. We’ve created a system for athletes to identify their favorite charity and compete to earn money that we’ll donate directly to them if they win one of our leagues/tournaments.

So dust off those cleats, stretch out those hammys and join us today!

MISSION

At Brewtown Recreation, our mission is to provide an easily accessible adult sports league for athletes of all skill levels. Our primary goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where athletes can build lasting memories, meet new people, and give back to the community, all while engaging in their favorite sports and recreational activities.

HISTORY

2013

THE BEGINNING.

It all started with a business pitch.

Brewtown Recreation was founded in 2013 after being awarded a basketball partnership with the Milwaukee Bucks after earning 1st place at a Milwaukee Journal small business event.

PLAYING WHERE THE PROS PLAY!

HOSTING OUR 1ST CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN AN NBA FACILITY CATAPULTED OUR GROWTH.

Riding the success of our first basketball championship at the Cousin’s Center, we decided to expand our sports offerings and offer Coed Kickball, Flag Football and Dodgeball.   In addition, we hosted our first charity tournament, a golf outing at Ironwood Golf Course and closed out our breakthrough year by moving up the NBA ranks and watching our men’s basketball championship end with a buzzer beater at the Bradley Center.

Invading Corporate America.

It's not always all work and no play.

Our leagues are full of young professionals and many of them did us a solid by telling their bosses how much fun playing sports can be! In doing so, we were afforded several opportunities to start hosting corporate events.  Our first event was a kickball tournament for YP Week at Helfaer Field.  Then we up’d the intensity and hosted a Rage in the Cage Dodgeball tournament for the North Avenue Summer Solstice Festival.  As our momentum continued, we launched our Men’s & Coed Softball Leagues and introduced Coed Basketball, both allowing more opportunities for our female athletes.

New Decade. Who Dis?

Same old Brewtown Rec - keeping it consistent, creative & fresh.

As we ventured into the new decade, our goal was to offer new opportunities that would speak to the next generation of players!  The first step was offering indoor leagues that would give players the opportunity to compete indoors during the icy Wisconsin winters.  Introducing Women’s & Coed Volleyball leagues and Coed 5v5 Football.  We also paid mad respect to the bumper car generation by offering a crazy new sport called, Whirlyball.

Play Like A Champion.

Hard Work & Consistency Pay Off.

Coming off the heels of a Milwaukee Bucks NBA Championship, our dreams of creating a basketball empire continued as we rolled out our first ever Women’s Basketball league. To honor the move (and all those players that stuck with us and supported our efforts during the Covid Pandemic), we hosted our Fall championship at the Fiserv Forum!

Technology Rules!

Putting our players first remains the #1 priority.

We embrace feedback from our players and have always used it (along with our creative flare) to enhance our leagues. This year is no different, as we launch a website with new features and a slick design to make life easier for all of our teams.
